Here we are in 2018 and I am excited about what the Lord has for us ahead at Church on the Beach!

We have now been up and running for seven months and it has been a blessing! Our journey through the first part of Genesis has been enlightening as we apply age-old truths to our lives. It is a thrill to see so many new faces and familiar ones too joining us at the beach.

Many are reading the Bible for the first time! Others are seeing the Word in new ways in this latest season of their lives. And many have invited Jesus into their lives for the first time! Several have recommitted their lives to Jesus. I am so thankful for the saving grace of our Lord!

Our outreach portion of Church on the Beach has been providing great fruit also. We have been blessed as we have served with the Dream Center in Nickerson Gardens. Time has been spent there picking up trash, distributing clothes, food, and toys, going door to door to pray and invite people to church, and playing with kids in the park. Many have received salvation in the process.

We have continued our prison ministry at Los Padrinos Juvenile Hall with Chaplain’s Eagles. This must be one of the greatest harvest fields in Los Angeles! We go twice a month to lead Bible studies. Scores have given their hearts to Jesus!

The Lord has continued to open up doors in Baja as well! After ministering for years alongside La Hermosa Church in Primo Tapia, Baja Norte and Door of Faith Orphanage in La Mision, we are now beginning to partner with them in an outreach to the Kumiai Indians in San Jose de la Zorra, Baja Norte. The last time we went, about 17 men in a village of 75 gave their lives to Jesus after watching the first part of the Jesus Film and hearing a powerful testimony from our friend Aaron Arstoga. We have been able to visit homes and pray for believers as well.

I am looking forward to seeing what God will do in all these ministries in 2018 as we read His Word, worship and pray together, and serve in the abilities and gifts that God has given us.
