The Holy Spirit draws us to God (John 6:44) and enables us to come to Him (John 6:65). This is clearly seen in Acts 2-3 when the Holy Spirit came and Peter, now full of the Holy Spirit, preached the Gospel. As soon as he preached the message of the Cross, the Holy Spirit convicted those listening and they were “cut to the heart” and said to Peter and the other apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?” Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.” As a result, 3,000 people received Jesus and were baptized! Let’s pray that the Holy Spirit will draw our friends, coworkers, neighbors, and loved ones to Jesus, convict them of their sin, and show them the way of salvation!
